Crashing Cairo is a five-piece anthemic rock band from Detroit, Michigan. In 2007, they played several venues around Detroit and finished recording the tracks for their debut full-length album, Monday Changed Everything. Since their debut, they have played hundreds of shows and have released the album "In the Forest".

The members of Crashing Cairo are promoting a new selection of songs that will be released as singles over the next year (2016-17) and then combine them into an album. This "reverse release" procedure was discussed in television and radio interviews in the spring of 2016.

Crashing Cairo is Robert Wax (vocals), Joel Cooper (guitar), David West (drums), Arthur Corey (bass), Dustin Walker (keys) and Kevin Scollin (trumpet/guitar).

Influences of Radiohead, U2, Coldplay, and the Police are evident in their recordings.

Crashing Cairo has opened for Eddie Money, The Verve Pipe, Marcy Playground, The Why Store, Ryan Star, Thriving Ivory, Hunny, James Durbin, and more.
